THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE PEOPLE GIVE YOU MORE OF ANYTHING

Anything you want to have is already in possession of another person. If its a car, its in a car shop. If its a house its in a real estate company. If it is love its in the heart of a lover. The Dalai Lama puts it this way, ”The best way to be happy is to make other people happy”

So, the one million dollar question is ‘HOW CAN YOU GET YOURS?’ Thank you for asking, please come with me to a restaurant.

WAITERS, MINTS, AND TIPS

In a study  published in the  journal of applied social psychology, researchers tested the effects of mints that waiters gave on the tips they received. They found out that when waiters gave the receipts to their customers after their meal plus mints it increased the tips they received by 3%.

When the waiters said the words, ”Would you like some mints before you leave” as they presented the receipts to them, the tips went up by 14%

RECIPROCITY

The law of  RECIPROCITY states that people feel obligated to give to people that have given to them. What the waiters were putting to work was the law of reciprocity (Which i will look at in depth in my seminar)

APPLICATION

Give massive value to your customers, bosses, wife, husband, and people in general and great things will be magnetized to you. What value will you add to peoples lives this week, who will you help this week?

The best way for you to get what you want is to look for a way to give and add value to the life of others. By doing that, you’ll provoke the forces of good in God’s beautiful earth to roll in submission to your desires.

5 WAYS TO INSTANTLY ESTABLISH YOURSELF AS AN AUTHORITY

In my April 26, 20017 seminar on influence and persuasion one of the principles of persuasion and influence that i will be dealing with in depth is AUTHORITY. And this law of influence states that, ”PEOPLE USUALLY DEFER TO THE OPINIONS OF AUTHORITY AND EXPERTS”

There are certain things or trappings that you see around a person to make them experts in your ‘OWN EYES’ without them saying a word because really it’s all in the mind.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT

A. If you are established as an expert you’ll get compliance easily

B. Authorities get paid higher, this is why specialist doctors make more money than general practitioners

C. Being seen as an expert or authority will make it easier for you to persuade people to get what you want.

HERE ARE THE 5 STEPS

  1. DRESS LIKE AN EXPERT OR AUTHORITY: In our modern world your clothes is your armory. It tells the world who you are, what you do for a living, your tribe, and what you stand for. If you walk into a hospital and you see a person wearing a white doctors coat and a stethoscope on his neck you’ll instantly believe he or she is a doctor due to what he or she is wearing and at that point anything they tell you, you’ll comply. Now, you might not be a doctor, but dress as a person who has authority in your field it helps people to believe in you. REMEMBER ”Business is a psychological warfare” Paul Foh
  2. USE TITLES: People attribute titles to authority. Dr. Author, Blogger, etc. Create your own title for yourself and overtime people will start associating you as an authority. For example i call myself ”NIGERIA’S # 1 SALES AND WOW SERVICE COACH” Guess what that title has stuck and it has been bringing me jobs.
  3. TRAPPINGS: Do you have a certificate from a training? are you certified in a skill? have you received an award for doing something? Those are trappings of authority in your profession that you should display and talk about. By doing that you send a message to the subconscious mind of your: customers, audience, or prey That other people have recognized your authority and by the law of social proof they too will believe in you.
  4. KNOWLEDGE: Experts or authority are very knowledgeable in their field. So, do the deep work required to establish you as an expert. Read excessively and develop yourself so that when you open your mouth wisdom that can solve problems will flow.
  5. GET RESULTS IN YOUR AREA OF AUTHORITY: People like proof producers. So, go out there and get results in your area of operation and then shout about your results.

THIS IS HOW YOU STAY FOCUSED IN A DISTRACTED WORLD

We live in a very beautiful world. And i say that will love and respect in my soul, but as beautiful and abundant this world of ours is,  throbbing with opportunities and pain  it is also a very distraction prone universe.

And if you allow the demons of distraction sway you from your moon shot, dream, or objectives you’ll never touch and change the world like your truly should.

Remember my friend, you don’t have all day to make your dreams happen. One day your time on this earth will be over- WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO HOMIE? I think it was Robin Sharma that said, ”You can’t chase two rabbits and catch any” FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS. So here are a few strategies that can help you ELIMINATE OR REDUCE distraction and get great work done.

  1. GET YOUR MOST IMPORTANT WORK DONE IN THE MORNING, BEFORE YOUR REACTIVE WORK: What are your key result areas? Those areas that must be done and dusted or else every other thing will fall apart. Do those things before you start your reactive work of answering emails, Facebook notifications, and phone calls.
  2.  FIND OR DESIGN YOUR OWN MENLO PARK: Menlo Park was the place where, the great inventor of the electric light system and the phonograph, Thomas Edison and his team used to go and create amazing work away from the distractions of the day. My Menlo Park has a white board where i do strategy sessions with myself, my Menlo Park has great Rwandan Coffee, my Menlo Park has creative things that inspire me to create, write, and do amazing work. What i am humbly suggesting to you with great love and admiration is for you to create a space where you’re inspired to work and output amazing work into the world. It can be a corner in your house, it can be your balcony by 4am in the morning, i don’t care just create a space that triggers your creativity.
  3. BLOCK OUT TIME TO WORK AND LET THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU KNOW THAT: Let people around you know that for example if they call or text you between 8am to 10am they will not get a response from you. Be aggressively protective of your deep work time
  4. HAVE A DAILY ROUTINE: Your routine or daily rituals as i like to call it, sets the tone for your day. My daily routine includes: meditation, reading my goals out loud, reading three chapters of the bible, prayers, and excercise. When i successfully do that, it gets me into an unstoppable frame of mind. Whats yours? Develop a daily ritual that suits you
  5. HAVE A SIMPLE TO DO LIST: Your to do list are basically your priorities for that day.

6 FEARS EVERY MAN HAS BUT RARELY TALKS ABOUT

Manhood or how to be a responsible man in society is something that i wasn’t taught growing up, especially growing up without a father. I had to learn everything about how to be a responsible father and husband to my wife of ten years (August 11, 2017 will make me 10 years in marriage) by reading books, listening to the teachings of the late Dr. Myles Munroe, and observing other great men.

As men we have certain concerns in our souls that we seldom share with people around us, due to shame or trust issues. Well since i am a card carrying member of the manhood club let me let the cat out of the bag.

  1. HE DOUBTS HIS ABILITY: Am i a good father to my kids? Do i provide enough for my family? Am i good on the job? Men sometimes question their abilities, brother if you are doing all that you can, with what you have don’t feel bad your family appreciates you. However, if your doubts are legitimate then i suggest that you pin point your skill gaps and get relevant trainings to bridge them.
  2. HE FEARS HE MIGHT HAVE NOTHING to show financially and other wise at the end of his life, especially if he was raised in a family or environment of non achievers. My counsel to you ,brother is focus your attention your skills and keep developing yourself so you can add more value which will translate into financial success. You should also shut the voice in your head that tells you you won’t make it successfully in life. You should also have a solid financial strategy in place, save a portion of your income, invest in multiple businesses.
  3. HE ASKS HIMSELF IF HE MEASURES UP this comes up a lot especially if the man is comparing himself to his friends who are doing better than him financially and socially, and to toughen the blow sometimes as a man you’ll meet men who are younger than you doing amazing stuff. Don’t compare yourself with another man, stay in your lane and fulfill your God given destiny.
  4. HE WORRIES THAT HE HIS GETTING OLD and that he has not achieved the goals he set for himself and that makes him reduce his age, and makes him feel very bad when people say to him ‘You’re getting old.” My counsel to you is re-invent yourself.
  5. HE FEARS SICKNESSES THAT COMES WITH OLD AGE my counsel to you is start watching what you eat going forward and start doing exercise: yoga, aerobics, running, karate, long walks, etc
  6. HE FEARS THAT HE HIS NOT GOOD LOOKING OR COOL you can easily solve this fear by wearing clothes that fit your body and do some workouts. Listen bro, you’re not ugly you look great and amazing anybody who calls you ugly should not bother you because someones opinion of you does not have to become your reality.
