On this article i want to share with you some amazing apps or applications that you can install in your phone to make you more productive and produce more results and make you 1% better than your peers.

1. EVERNOTE: Evernote is a cool note taking app and it also has a web clipper section which helps you save webpages you will like to reference on a later date but usually fail to recall.

2. JOTNOT: Jotnot is the simplest way to save a digital version of your receipts and documents. Call it your mobile scanner, this app is very handy because sometimes you fill up your bag with receipts and when it is time for your company to pay you back you can’t find them.

3. AUDIBLE: Wow! I love audible. This helps you listen to audio books on the go. Due to the busy nature of your work, you might not have the time to read paper books, audio books is your solution.

4.LASTPASS: Do you have multiple passwords for your online activities? Save some of your brain energy, and lodge them all in lastpass.

7 REASONS WHY YOU’RE NOT SELLING AND HOW TO FIX IT

Business in today’s world is intense, fierce, and throbbing with endless possibilities. 

In this world, speed of execution and the ability to sell will be critical skills of success. Some people have amazing products, services and ideas yet their bank accounts are not dancing to the sound of credit alerts.
In my capacity as Nigeria’s #1 Sales Coach to some of the biggest companies in Nigeria and as a business man with multiple businesses, I present some of reasons people are not selling.

1. THEY’RE NOT CLEAR ABOUT THE SOLUTION THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICE OFFERS: You must realize that sales is about convincing or persuading a person to believe that what you have to offer is of more VALUE to them than the money in their pockets or purses at the time. So ask your customers questions so you can uncover their problems then use your product as a solution to their problems.

2. THEY HAVE VERY FEW PROSPECTS IN THEIR SALES FUNNEL: Sales is a game of numbers. The more prospective customers you’re talking to about buying from you the higher the possibility or probability of a few of them converting into paying customers. So, the solution is fill your pipeline with loads of prospects.

3. THEY DON’T FOLLOW UP REGULARLY: Do you know that 80% of sales are lost due to a lack of follow up? I am currently doing sales training for a company and i followed up on them for two years. The solution is never give up, systematically follow up on the clients that have promised you business.

4. THEY DON’T READ AND STUDY HUMAN BEHAVIOR: Sales is 80% psychology and 20% mechanics. To some extent you can predict the behavior of people. Read up about rapport building, read up about the laws of influence. Build your skill base. Instead of watching TV read. Out-read your competitors.

5. THEY DON’T HAVE A STRONG REASON TO SUCCEED: ”It is only when we are stirred by a great demand, an insistent necessity that we accomplish the sort of things that make us proud of our humanity”  – Bruce Barton
The reason why you’re not selling is perhaps because you’re selfish!
For if your success in business is tied to your children doing well or your success is tied to the hospital bill of a person dear to you, then your drive will be on steroid. Have a compelling reason for success and trust me you will find a way to sell.

6. YOU’RE NOT ASKING FOR REFERRALS:  Most of your money is in the hands of your current customers and the people they know. When was the last time you asked your current customers to refer you to people in their circle of influence? ASK! and you will receive people are willing to help you succeed.

7. YOU DON’T HAVE CLEAR SALES GOALS: Set clear sales goals. ”I want to make a lot of money” Is not a clear goal. ”I want to make N5,000,000 by September 30, 2017” Is a clear goal. The clearer you goal the more momentum you will generate to achieve it.

LESSONS FROM A FLOOR LAMP

Hi,

do you believe in serendipity? I DO! Serendipity is the act of finding something valuable when you’re not looking for it. For you to find your ‘SOMETHING’ when you’re not looking for it, you must have PLANTED IT into your mind as a thought repeated constantly.

A while back i desired a cool floor lamp for my living room (My love for design and beautiful things is another matter) So i got pictures of the floor lamp i wanted and stared at it as often as i could.

Then I was invited in July 7, 2017  to speak at the FEDx SME 1,000 conference on my favorite subject- SALES AND MARKETING. When i was through, they gave me my cheque and as my staff was packing my stuff to the car they said ”Ha, Mr. Foh we get one small package for you oh” They gave me a small carton and i said thanks.

When i got home that night, i unpacked it with the help of my sons and BOOM! Enclosed was the floor lamp that i had been envisioning (That is the floor lamp sitting in my living room in this blogpost)  SERENDIPITY! LAW OF ATTRACTION! Call it whatever.

The lesson here is be careful what you desire, for you can really attract into your life and reality what you constantly dream of.

THE ROBOTS ARE COMING…

In January 2017, a McKinsey & Company study found that about 30% of tasks in 60% of occupations could be computerized. Last year, the Bank of England’s chief economist said that 80m US and 15m UK jobs might be taken over by robots.

The picture you see is a car factory powered by only ROBOTS instead of people.

The least safe jobs are now jobs such as Telemarketers, Loan officer, Cashier, Paralegal and Legal assistant, Taxi driver, Fast food cook etc.

The safest jobs are jobs such as Mental health and Substance abuse Social workers, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Nutritionist, Physician  and Surgeons, Clergy etc.

The difference between them is that while the least safe jobs are purely “technical”, the safe jobs are “skilled and knowledge” based.
