Millions of Nigerians are onboarding online on a regular basis. The big telecom companies are noticing a surge in their income coming from the sales of data and not voice. This indicates a rise in consumers social and commercial interactions moving online.

This is an opportunity for you to promote your business, sell your products, or increase awareness for your cause. Now, there are a lot of ways to make money online but am narrowing this post to three useable ways. Here we go!

  1. PRINTIVO STORE: Right off the jump in the 3 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE IN NIGERIA is www.printivo.com/sell# So, the other day i was driving on third mainland bridge listening to a podcast where Oluyomi Ojo one of the founders of PRINTIVO Nigeria’s online print shop, talking about a new feature in their business called printivo store. The idea is that you can create or develop a design for: T-shirt, Mugs, Phone case, Letter Head, etc. When someone likes your design and places an order for your design to be printed on their merchandise, you’ll get 15% of the order. Translation: If somebody places an order for example for T-shirts worth N100,000 you’ll instantly get N15,000.
  2. ONLINE SPONSORSHIP: If you build your blog readership, podcast listeners, Instagram followers, and youtube subscriber base you can charge companies to advertise on your page for a fee. This is one way through which i make money online
  3. PAID WHATSAPP CLASSES: Are you an expert in : baking, cooking, parenting, intimacy, the list is endless. Do you know that you can develop a how-to guide on how to do what you do, record your voice in the voice recorder in your phone, form a Whatsapp group based on your expertise and then charge people for the class. I did it with my goal setting class called RESULTS COACHING BLUEPRINT and i charged N20,000 person. Hmmm and the next one is on selling and it starts this month. .

What is the problem that your product, service, or business solves for people? I believe that the power of a product is its ability to improve the lives of its users, following that train of thought- it means that the more products you sell, the more lives you get to improve and the more problems you solve.

But how can you sell if you don’t have clear business sales goals and a strategy for achieving them? As a business man and sales coach i have discovered that one of the reasons why people don’t sell much is because they’ve not defined what the finished line should look and feel like.

To assist you, here’s my formula for setting clear sales goals and achieving them

  1. PRISTINE CLARITY: For example i want to sell a lot of products in the fourth quarter of 2017 is not a clear goal. But, i want to sell products worth N10,000,000 in Q4 is a clear and inspiring goal.
  2. TRANSLATE THE GOAL: How many products or services will you have to sell to achieve your N10,000,000 goal? How many potential customers will you have to meet for you to make a sale? The next time you close a sale observe the number of people you had to call or speak to before you made that sale. Knowing that will help you form and see a pattern. For example, if you speak to ten people about your product and only two paid you cash, that means that you have a 10% sales closing ratio
  3. WRITE THE GOAL DOWN: If you have a team write the goal down in a visible place for every member of your team to see. This is because humans move in the direction of what they constantly see. Take it a step further, read the goal to yourself everyday the purpose of this activity is to programme your unconscious mind to become aware of the people and events that can help you manifest your goal.
  4. TRACK AND MEASURE THE GOAL: You cannot sustainably improve anything that you don’t track and measure. Where are you now in terms of your sales?  Whats the gap between where your sales numbers are and where you want  it to be?
  5. ACTION STEPS: You might not have the ability to control the outcome, but you can control your actions. What are the activities that you’ll need to do regularly to ensure that you hit your sales target? Phone calls, customer visits, asking for referrals, putting up content on social media etc. If you do the actions required for success, the outcome will correspond.
  6. CELEBRATE: When you achieve your sales goals- CELEBRATE!

I helped someone make 22 million Naira in cumulative profit before tax..

He told me:

“Long story short!

My profit target was 28.5m in profit for the year and 1.28B in deposit for the year.

By the 3rd month after my session with Paul Foh, we didn’t just break even we made a profit of 4.5m and a deposit of 1.47b.

At exactly the 6th month. I have made a cumulate Profit before tax of 15.7m for the bank and a deposit of 1.77billion.

When i did my MPR, i had a cumulative Profit before tax of 22m Naira almost crashing my initial target of 28.5m.”

Exciting right?

This is going to be a short ONE!

On this article i want to share with you some amazing apps or applications that you can install in your phone to make you more productive and produce more results and make you 1% better than your peers.

1. EVERNOTE: Evernote is a cool note taking app and it also has a web clipper section which helps you save webpages you will like to reference on a later date but usually fail to recall.

2. JOTNOT: Jotnot is the simplest way to save a digital version of your receipts and documents. Call it your mobile scanner, this app is very handy because sometimes you fill up your bag with receipts and when it is time for your company to pay you back you can’t find them.

3. AUDIBLE: Wow! I love audible. This helps you listen to audio books on the go. Due to the busy nature of your work, you might not have the time to read paper books, audio books is your solution.

4.LASTPASS: Do you have multiple passwords for your online activities? Save some of your brain energy, and lodge them all in lastpass.

Business in today’s world is intense, fierce, and throbbing with endless possibilities.

In this world, speed of execution and the ability to sell will be critical skills of success. Some people have amazing products, services and ideas yet their bank accounts are not dancing to the sound of credit alerts.
In my capacity as Nigeria’s #1 Sales Coach to some of the biggest companies in Nigeria and as a business man with multiple businesses, I present some of reasons people are not selling.

1. THEY’RE NOT CLEAR ABOUT THE SOLUTION THEIR PRODUCT OR SERVICE OFFERS: You must realize that sales is about convincing or persuading a person to believe that what you have to offer is of more VALUE to them than the money in their pockets or purses at the time. So ask your customers questions so you can uncover their problems then use your product as a solution to their problems.

2. THEY HAVE VERY FEW PROSPECTS IN THEIR SALES FUNNEL: Sales is a game of numbers. The more prospective customers you’re talking to about buying from you the higher the possibility or probability of a few of them converting into paying customers. So, the solution is fill your pipeline with loads of prospects.

3. THEY DON’T FOLLOW UP REGULARLY: Do you know that 80% of sales are lost due to a lack of follow up? I am currently doing sales training for a company and i followed up on them for two years. The solution is never give up, systematically follow up on the clients that have promised you business.

4. THEY DON’T READ AND STUDY HUMAN BEHAVIOR: Sales is 80% psychology and 20% mechanics. To some extent you can predict the behavior of people. Read up about rapport building, read up about the laws of influence. Build your skill base. Instead of watching TV read. Out-read your competitors.

5. THEY DON’T HAVE A STRONG REASON TO SUCCEED: ”It is only when we are stirred by a great demand, an insistent necessity that we accomplish the sort of things that make us proud of our humanity”  – Bruce Barton
The reason why you’re not selling is perhaps because you’re selfish!
For if your success in business is tied to your children doing well or your success is tied to the hospital bill of a person dear to you, then your drive will be on steroid. Have a compelling reason for success and trust me you will find a way to sell.

6. YOU’RE NOT ASKING FOR REFERRALS:  Most of your money is in the hands of your current customers and the people they know. When was the last time you asked your current customers to refer you to people in their circle of influence? ASK! and you will receive people are willing to help you succeed.

7. YOU DON’T HAVE CLEAR SALES GOALS: Set clear sales goals. ”I want to make a lot of money” Is not a clear goal. ”I want to make N5,000,000 by September 30, 2017” Is a clear goal. The clearer you goal the more momentum you will generate to achieve it.

Speaking is a dream of many people. There’s nothing quite like the incredible rush you feel when you get onstage in front of a group of people who are eagerly awaiting your every word is appealing. The impact and income are also great motivators.

Public speaking is something that is either incredibly terrifying or incredibly fascinating to most people, but once most people get a taste of it, they can’t wait to do it again.

do you believe in serendipity? I DO! Serendipity is the act of finding something valuable when you’re not looking for it. For you to find your ‘SOMETHING’ when you’re not looking for it, you must have PLANTED IT into your mind as a thought repeated constantly.

A while back i desired a cool floor lamp for my living room (My love for design and beautiful things is another matter) So i got pictures of the floor lamp i wanted and stared at it as often as i could.

Then I was invited in July 7, 2017  to speak at the FEDx SME 1,000 conference on my favorite subject- SALES AND MARKETING. When i was through, they gave me my cheque and as my staff was packing my stuff to the car they said ”Ha, Mr. Foh we get one small package for you oh” They gave me a small carton and i said thanks.

When i got home that night, i unpacked it with the help of my sons and BOOM! Enclosed was the floor lamp that i had been envisioning (That is the floor lamp sitting in my living room in this blogpost)  SERENDIPITY! LAW OF ATTRACTION! Call it whatever.

The lesson here is be careful what you desire, for you can really attract into your life and reality what you constantly dream of.

In January 2017, a McKinsey & Company study found that about 30% of tasks in 60% of occupations could be computerized. Last year, the Bank of England’s chief economist said that 80m US and 15m UK jobs might be taken over by robots.

The picture you see is a car factory powered by only ROBOTS instead of people.

The least safe jobs are now jobs such as Telemarketers, Loan officer, Cashier, Paralegal and Legal assistant, Taxi driver, Fast food cook etc.

The safest jobs are jobs such as Mental health and Substance abuse Social workers, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Nutritionist, Physician  and Surgeons, Clergy etc.

The difference between them is that while the least safe jobs are purely “technical”, the safe jobs are “skilled and knowledge” based.

Una ey hear me so!!! Make una dey read o. THE MACHINES ARE COMING FOR OUR JOBS.

The robots are coming for us, don’t stop learning to up skill yourself.
