It’s for you to focus on your “CRITICAL FEW” and not your “TRIVIAL MANY“!
Because as you go out there to work today, not EVERY ACTIVITY IS IMPORTANT! Some are urgent but not important.
You want to ask yourself a very critical question; this activity, will this activity contribute to my GOALS, will it contribute to my LONG TERM GOALS?
That becomes your critical few and not your trivial many.
Because the critical few would keep you busy while the trivial many would make you successful.
The critical few would make you successful while the trivial many would keep you busy, busy, busy and unsuccessful.
So, you need to focus on deep work it urgent work. What is the difference?
If let’s say you are making 5 sales calls today and you see a notification on your phone and you answer the STUPID telephone call from one of your STUPID FRIEND that is not going anywhere.
Am sorry, and by the way, the word stupid is not an insult, it is an opinion.
OK, they are not going anywhere but they are disturbing you with all kinds and then you answer the call and ask the person, “why are you calling me?” I just want to check on you or they want to; have you heard? Gossiping another person. Can you imagine?
FOCUS ON YOUR WORK!
Because if you don’t succeed, those same people will laugh at you.
So, roll up your sleeves.
Get your butt in the chair and let’s get to work.
